Texas Made Me

'Texas Made Me' tee: Southward Apparel | Shorts: Urban Outfitters | Booties: (old, very similar here) | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Bangles: Kendra Scott

I love me some graphic tees y'all. Its literally like all the sarcastic and witty comments you wish you could walk around saying all day, but on your shirt.  I think they are such a great way to bring some personality and fun into your wardrobe (and they are usually super comfortable-- even better).

Southward Apparel has been one of my favorite go-to retailers for tees for the past 2 years. Their designs are trendy meets southern (which I know us southern gals love), but they literally have something for everyone. Also all of their tees are SUPER soft and amazing quality, so they are not going to turn into baby gap tees once you throw them in the washer. I wear mine all the time and they have held up the same since I got them.

Even sweeter, Southward Apparel is having a HUGE sale starting on Friday with styles up to 60% off (including this one I am wearing). Perfect time to stock up! I know I will be- already have my eye on basically everything.

Beaded Aztec Sandals

Off the Shoulder Top: Gianni Bini | Skort: Boutique find, very similar here | Sandals: Gianni Bini | Clutch: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Bracelets: Kendra Scott

Do you guys believe in love at first sight? These beaded Aztec sandals made me a believer. Maybe it was the shoe Gods. Maybe it was fate. But I feel like Gianni Bini made these for me personally and then engraved my name on the bottom.
I will be honest, I have never been a huge shoe whore (excuse the language-- but you get the drift), but when I see a pair I love… as long as they are not ridiculously priced, I will spend the money. Luckily for you guys, these beauties went on sale recently--BUY them. Lets be shoe sisters, twins, soul mates…. whatever.

Also I am sure you have noticed about 80% of my posts this summer have been off the shoulder tops. Sorry, not sorry guys. I hope you love them as much as I. I also snagged this one on sale for $20. It was neon pink, which means I am basically handing you my credit card no questions asked.

I am not ready for summer to end, I refuse to put all my bright colored tops and rompers to the back of the closet…. so I am getting as much wear as possible out of these before they are sent to hibernate for winter.

Happy Wednesday, loves!

Off the Shoulder Chambray

Dress: Express (no longer available, IDENTICAL here) | Earrings: J. Crew | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Bangles: Kendra Scott

I am a sucker for chambray in any form or fashion. While cleaning out my closet during my move I counted 7 chambray shirts I had…thats right, 7-- I do not know if I should be embarrassed or proud of this collection!! I am such a fan-- its casual, effortless, and literally goes with everything. Mix that with off the shoulder…SOLD!
I have worn this dress to brunch with the girls, to the pool, and out and about running errands. I love any piece that requires minimal thought on those days where you just want to throw something on or it looks like Ray Charles is putting your outfits together…. yes even us fashionistas have this problem.

PS- I have a little guest appearance on this post! If you follow me on Instagram you have noticed I am a  little very obsessed with my fur children. I have two golden retrievers, Ellie who is 5 1/2, and Bennett who is 4. Ellie got in on the action (and even got some ice cream) on this shoot! My dogs live better lives than most humans, I swear.
I could turn this into a dog blog easily just posting pictures of my pups and telling stories… buttt lets not go there. I promise to stick to fashion ;)

Happy Monday, Gals!

Off the Shoulder and Cutoffs

Top: Beehive (no longer available, very similar here) | Shorts: Free People | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (similar, here) | Wedges: Steve Madden | Sunnies: Free People | Earrings: Kendra Scott

Y'all. Being in your early/mid twenties is such an awkward time. You are literally in the transitional phases of life, relationships, your career….and your wardrobe.
Running around in oversize T-shirts and Nike shorts is no longer acceptable. Our bodies are changing, and our metabolism is slowing down. You can no longer booze 3 nights of the week, religiously eat taco Tuesday and still wear a crop top. Sigh….

I was going through my closet before I moved into my new apartment a few weeks ago and I still had like 4 pairs of denim cutoff shorts from Abercrombie & Fitch with, I kid you not like a 1" inseam. I tried them on for kicks (by some miracle they still fit…holla!) and then thought to myself "Sweet Jesus Lynlee you are 25 years old. Time to put these away for good".

Denim shorts are a summertime staple for me, so I made it a mission this summer to stock up on a few pair that were trendy, and appropriate. I scored these Free People cutoffs on sale at Nordstrom which are probably the shortest pair I own (but not too short). I probably wear these like 3x a week dressed down with some gladiators and a tee, or with wedges like you see here.

Below I have linked a few other pairs of "I am no longer 17 years old" denim shorts that are stylish, and appropriate!

Happy Thursday Gals-- I am already counting down to the weekend! Off to the lake to beat this 100 degree Texas heat.
