So I wore this out to dinner about 2-3 weeks ago when we had a little cold front come through, and I have highly debated even posting these pictures. It was one of those moments where I swore this outfit looked better when I put it on and walked out the door....but then once I started snapping pictures of it I kind of went "ugh-I remember feeling WAY cuter than this". I am picturing in my head the scene from the movie Clueless when Cher says she doesn't trust mirrors so she takes pictures of all her outfits! Ohhh Cher, you were right on this one! 

Anyways, girls listen up! One piece you definitely need in your closet this winter is a great fur vest! Even my mom has one, so yes, you need one too. Here are a few inexpensive options that I love: one, two, three, four!

This dress was maybe one of my favorite purchases this summer. A- its mint which was pretty much the color of this past spring/summer, B- its lace, which is perfectly feminine and just pretty no matter what, and C- it's a dress which will probably be forever my favorite clothing article! I have said it once I will say it again, dresses are pretty, girly, and just so dang easy!! Whenever I am in a hurry but still want to look cute you can almost guarantee I will throw on some sort of dress! I am to dang indecisive to try to actually coordinate when I am in a rush- I always end up second guessing myself! I'm sure we all have a few go-to pieces of clothing we usually turn to when in a hurry!

I have been on the hunt here lately for a great leather skirt- YES leather is back, ya'll, and I LOVE it! You don't have to go biker chick to wear leather, just one great piece can make all the difference! So when I spotted this little beauty at Forever 21 I thought it was perfect and a good color I could pretty much pair with anything- and it was cheap, double win!!! I'm also a little obsessed with this new oxblood clutch I scored at Marshall's... leather, oxblood, studs- these are a few of my favorite things!

Today's post is short and sweet! A little patriotism in my outfit today as we await the outcome of the Presidential election. I hope all of you took the time to vote, this was my first year to vote so I was very excited about that! I am not a very political person and I am definitely not going to rant about my opinions on here, I promise! I think we can all agree that we will be glad when this election is over!! Makes me think of the YouTube video that has been so popular of the little girl crying because she is tired of hearing things about the election non-stop, me too honey, me too!

Here in Texas for the most part we are still having 80 and 90 degree days- SO until winter decides to make its way here, I will continue to sport most of my summer wardrobe! I spotted this skirt back in April or May and searched/called every Express in my area until I could finally find one of these beauties in my size, I finally found one (off of the mannequin of course) and it has probably been one of my favorite purchases-mission accomplished! I have worn this dressed up, and down- take any feminine sparkly skirt or shorts and easily add a plain casual tee for a whole new look! I paired this with my favorite go-to vest and booties! You can still wear all your skirts when it gets cold as well, just throw a pair of tights underneath- sheer, patterned, plain, just have fun with it!

As you can see in the pics my Golden Retriever, Bennett got in on the action on these shots! This will not be the last time you will see him or my other Golden Retriever, Ellie in my posts! They are my babies, this weekend was actually Bennett's 2nd birthday so we had what other than a dog birthday party- with a dog birthday cake, presents, and of course all his friends! I'm a little bit of a crazy dog lady...haha! Here is a pic of him, sorry if I'm being obsessive- its too cute not to share!!

I just about freaked out when I saw this pink shift dress in Old Navy- you can't completely tell in the pictures but this dress is NEON pink; needless to say I am in love. I love simple dresses because you can pretty much do whatever you want with them and wear them so many different ways! Maybe I am forever 12 years old but I am obsessed with anything sparkly or embellished, hence this fabulous clutch! I think everyone needs at least one super gaudy glittery 12 year old girl item in their closet!!! Today is Friday ya'll- I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
