Color Blocking

Skirt: ASOS | Crop Top: ASOS | Sandals: Steve Madden | Necklace: Kendra Scott | Bangles: Kendra Scott | Ring Stack: Henri Bendel | Sunnies: Ray-Ban

I will not lie, I am kind of an impulse shopper-- something I am REALLY trying to work on (ha!). I go through phases of what I buy, if I am on a shoe binge I literally buy 6 pairs at a time. Recently, I have been buying skirts like crazy. I have said before, I really do not like pants-- so skirts, dresses, and rompers are my go to's! ASOS seriously has the most amazing selection of affordable skirts (this one was under $20), I always find amazing deals! However, ASOS is kind of like an upscale Forever 21 and can be overwhelming with the amount of product they carry- so you kind of have to go there with something specific in mind or you will go crazy. I love this skirt because it has kind of a modern/boyish feel….just call me sporty spice! Since it is high waisted, I paired it with a crop top to show a little skin. What are your impulse buys? I hope I am not alone!

Even though I consider myself having a creative mind when it comes to styling, and a closet full of clothes, there are still some days where I literally just can't put an outfit together. My brain is mush, and my creative juices are just not flowing-- seriously, it happens more than you would think! I consider this outfit a "no brainer"-- when you just can't come up with anything. A basic tee, a pair of skinny jeans, and a fun shoe/ some pop of color, ta-da! You have a chic look with minimal effort.

I would not say that I could describe my style in just a few words. My style reflects however I am feeling at that particular moment. Somedays it is classic and simple, others I am flashy, bohemian, or feminine. I literally have fashion schizophrenia- where my clothing choices depend on my mood.

This particular look I was feeling sexy and edgy. I am all about showing a little skin, in moderation of course. I love me a good plunge neckline- I have a fairly small chest so I can get away with this without looking too promiscuous. If you have a larger chest try something with a low back, or cut outs. Just make sure you feel comfortable, you do not want to be adjusting constantly or feeling self conscious. We all have that go-to item that makes us feel damn good- what is yours?! Rock it, girlfriend.

Sequins, Please!

Sequin Tee: ASOS (Under $30) | Jeans: Brandy Melville, similar here | Shoes: Steve Madden | Clutch: Amazon | Earrings: Kendra Scott | Ring: Kendra Scott | Bangles: Kendra Scott | Watch: Michael Kors

Sequins are my jam, ya'll. Everyday in 2nd grade was a battle with my mother because I wanted to wear my red sequin flapper halloween costume to school- Diva status at age 8, not much has changed.
If you are one of those thinking sequins are only appropriate for NYE and prom dresses, I am here to convince you otherwise! A sequin top is the perfect addition to your wardrobe because it can be dressed up, or down. I paired mine with boyfriend jeans for a more casual look, and the strappy heels are the perfect pop of color (per usual, I have to have some neon). Throw on a mini skirt and you can take this look from day, to night! I scored this sequin top for $27 from ASOS, they always have a great selection of sequins.

Girls it's that time again, one of the most loved/hated times of the year….I am talking about wedding season! I do not know about you guys but I am at the age where it seems like my friends are getting engaged left and right- which means, engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and of course weddings!
While these events are so much fun, they are for one- expensive, two- a reminder that we are all getting old and it is no longer acceptable to rage on a Tuesday and fall down the stairs at the bar (I swear I have only done that twice ;) ), and third- you realize how single and alone you are and are convinced that you will forever live with 17 dogs and be the "cool aunt" to all your girlfriends babies. However, despite all of this (do I totally sound like a negative Nancy?) you can at least look like a total smoke show.
Enter, the midi skirt! When I first saw the trend for these fun party skirt I thought to myself "oh, thats cute for petite girls, but I will look like a preggo whale". Despite my reservations, I gave one a try and was SO surprised how flattering it was! These skirts are literally flattering on every shape, accentuating your waist and hiding your hips- uh-huh honey!! They are the perfect piece for events such as bridal showers, and weddings, where you want to be a little more modest, but still super cute!
I wore this Phoebe midi skirt to a girlfriends bridal shower and got so many compliments-- not only from all my friends, but from mothers and grandmothers! Such a timeless piece- now go out there and get you a midi skirt, and let the twirling begin!

Happy pre-Friday Gals :)
