Hair Tutorial

Hi Everyone!!!! Happy Halloween- I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!

So today's post will be short and sweet- I have been asked by a few people how I style or curl my hair! I am by no means a beauty expert so I am going to leave you all with this video by the lovely Cara from CaraLoren as you can see her hair is always perfect and GORGEOUS! She has a great video tutorial, and although mine never turns out quite like her's (I wish) it is the same method used!! I hope this helps ladies!

I don't think I will ever get tired of anything neon, especially if it comes in my favorite color, pink!! As I have mentioned in one of my earlier posts- neon's are here to stay ya'll!! You can either incorporate some of your summer pieces, or snag a few warmer pieces like this sweater! We are still teeter-tottering back and forth between warm and a few chilly days here in Texas so I can still get away with sandals and sheer maxi's... Hey, I'm not complaining :)

Ohh monday, we meet again! I am so excited to be sporting my new jacket, I love any type of jacket/blazer; just throw one on and they instantly can transform your outfit! I am also obsessed with anything with ruffles, they are so feminine and pretty! So of course I had to have this jacket!

First of all I'm sorry I have been so MIA this past week, it was my birthday so I was constantly busy! I got to spend lots of time with family and my best friends, it was such a great birthday- thank you to everyone who made it special! Anyways, I was SO excited for some cooler weather to finally make it through this weekend, I loved it, and I finally got to break out some of my favorite new sweaters to prepare for this chilly weather! I spotted these pleather tights/pants/leggings (whatever you want to call them) this week at Forever 21, and I instantly knew they would be a great fall stable to my wardrobe this year. Might I add this oxblood color is to die for, and you will be seeing TONS of it this fall! I know it seems like I am a walking forever 21 ad in this post- but lets be honest, who doesn't love Forever?! I hope you all had a great weekend- I promise to be on track better this weekend!

Mint Craze

Its no secret this mint color was all the rage this past spring/summer, and I LOVE it! I think its one of those colors that anyone can easily pull off! So while I was in Madrid I saw this sweater I knew I had to have it so I could carry on the transition of this color to fall!! I also know these pictures are not the prettiest scenery, I snapped them last minute today in my yard! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

'Merica

Let me just start off by saying I LOVE DRESSES!! Pretty much every-other post you will come across on here will be me in a dress of some sort- long, short, high-low, I adore them all! I love how easy they are, no fuss trying to match tops and bottoms- just throw one on and you are good to go! Simple ones you can play up with fun jewelry or a jacket/blazer, while others like this one look great by themselves! Maxi dresses have become more and more popular over the past year or two- which I love!!! Many maxi's you can even transition to wear during the winter! I have to brag for a second, I snatched this dress up on sale for only $23 (and its patriotic) !!! I love the feeling of finding a great dress, but it just makes me feel that much better when I find it on sale! I think everyone can agree with that :)

Studded Accents

One trend that I absolutely LOVE that we will be seeing a lot of this fall/winter season is studded accents. They are literally on everything! Tops, shoes, jackets, pants! I love how it just instantly adds some edge to any article of clothing! I also have an obsession for anything shiny, as well as gold- so anytime I find anything with studs on it, I naturally have to have it! 

You also might be thinking, Lynlee its the middle of October- why in the heck are you still wearing wedges, those are for spring and summer (One unwritten rule I cant stand, but I will dedicate a post to that later)?? WELL let me apologize ahead of time because this will not be the last time you will see me in wedges this month or even next month! It is currently still in the 80s here in Texas, so I think it is perfectly acceptable to wear wedges up until it gets cold! Trust me, I cant wait to pull out my boots and sweaters but until then, get some extra wear out of your spring and summer clothes!

Neon Statement

Who doesn't love a good statement necklace? Simply throw one on and it can instantly add glam to any outfit! I shop on Etsy quite frequently for one of a kind pieces. So naturally when I came across Jen Hoodenpyle's Etsy shop and saw all of her fabulous handmade pieces I knew I had to get my hands on something! Let me tell ya'll pictures don't even do this necklace justice, I could not come near to capturing a photo of how vibrant the colors are in person- So everyone go check out her etsy shop, she is great! Anyways, I decided to pair this with my new pleated maxi and chambray shirt! This will not be the last time you will see me sporting this necklace- YES even in the winter months! Who says neon can only be worn during the spring/summer?! I think it is totally acceptable to showcase these neon hues year round! 

Lady In Red

Who would have thought my old Abercrombie denim jacket from high school would make its way back into my wardrobe! This is one reason why it is so hard for me to part with my old clothes....you never know what might come back into style! So I was thrilled to still have this jacket tucked in the back of my closet! So ladies, if you still have one of these hanging out in your closet, pull it out and throw it over any dress. Plus it gives you an excuse to wear your summer dresses even when the weather begins to get a little chillier!
