If I were a Gypsy...

Dress: Lulus (Very similar here - seriously obsessed with this one) | Jewelry: Forever 21, Michael Kors, and other random finds

I'm back frolicking in the water again….totally normal right? Probably not….however wearing gorgeous maxis such as this one, and dressing them down to make them casual- a big YES in my book.   This maxi is great because it can also transition to fall- just add a chunky sweater or kimono!

Once again I cannot think my sweet friend Kayla from Kayla Sellers Photography enough for shooting these pics for me… and let me tell ya'll this is not all as glamorous as it looks. It was literally 100 degrees, sweating like crazy we had to hike, crawl under and over fences, and hold back tree branches from whacking each other in the face in order to get these pictures. All while toting around all of Kayla's equipment and my stuff. So if that doesn't tell you how dedicated of a photographer Kayla is then I don't know what other proof you need. Thank you SO much Kayla. Everyone do yourself a favor and check out Kayla's photography page here !

American Woman

I'M BACK!!! I know, I know, WTF its been like 6 months- but let me tell you, life has been crazy, and this little blog of mine sadly just got put on the back burner. However, I have gotten so many emails and comments from friends and gals I didn't even know who have followed my blog asking where I went and why I wasn't sharing outfits anymore (seriously guys, it made me so happy when people asked to bring the blog back.To think that anyone would take time out of their day to check out me looking awkward on here and sharing my love of fashion is just beyond crazy to me). While I still have been shopping way too much (did I really just admit that?), styling, and photographing my outfits and snippets of life- I now vow to share everything with you all on here! So CHEERS to that!

Well this little number here is brought to you courtesy of the red, white, and blue (and Toby Keith).  I know most of you don't frolic around in the water in cowboy boots and an American flag on the reg…. however, when my favorite photographer, Kayla came to town and the 4th of July approaching I knew I wanted to do some shots with the US flag and make one of my Pinterest dreams come to life. Check!
Like I said, I know carrying around a flag all day isn't exactly a wardrobe staple, but owning a chambray shirt, denim cutoffs, and a good pair of cowboy boots are-- especially here in Texas. Also if any of you can help bring my Dukes of Hazard fantasy to life, I am on the hunt for some red boots (that aren't tacky high school dance team)  help a sista out.
So, I will end with Happy Birthday America… I am so proud to call this beautiful, free country home.

Wait, just kidding- I have to brag for a bit…. I have the most talented photographer. Not only is she beautiful, funny, and the SWEETEST, she is like a camera magician. Not even kidding. Kayla not only helps me pose looking semi natural (aka- talking me out of doing any sorority pose or skinny arm in every pic), she just flat out has a niche for taking the most beautiful pictures. If anyone in Central Texas or the surrounding areas (Dallas, Austin, etc.) are needing a photographer for anything…. do yourself a favor and check out Kayla Sellers Photography . You are welcome.
