Basic black and white! Such a classic combo-- While I will say I generally like to wear some color, you can't go wrong with black and white. Its effortless- and yes even I have days where my brain is much and feel like I cannot put together an outfit. Enter black skirt, white top- DONE.
This skirt is extra special, it has two of my favorite things-- lace AND feathers. I am all about textures, embroidery, and embellishment so this skirt was right up my alley.
So funny story with this skirt actually. In December I was in New York shopping at Top Shop when I first fell in love with this skirt--however, it was at the end of my trip and my shopping budget was dwindling so I left without it. This was definitely one of those items that haunts you because you know you should have bought it!! Isn't that the worst? Anyways, I made another trip back to New York in late January where I once again went into Top Shop (duh) assuming the skirt was gone forever. I was browsing through the sale rack when I came across THE skirt, there was only one left- I did not want to get my hopes up and it not be my size, but sure enough the shopping gods were with me that day and it was my size and over 70%- SCORE. So I like to think I did not find this skirt, the skirt found me :)
